Examining the narratives and history portrayed through artists’ work, Jade Newman Brown has become slightly obsessed with the idea of toying with someone's mind. Encouraging them to believe the narratives Jade forces upon them with each piece she produces. Jade became fascinated with the idea of thinking how an individual’s knowledge of the history or story behind an object can affect their thinking about that object. Jade challenges this with her audience by creating several different pieces of work; some with a realistic, believable narrative, and some with a more ‘far out’ narrative.
