Hayley Wareing creates immersive installation pieces, which require the audiences’ participation. In her previous work, Hayley has focused on creating an atmosphere that allows the viewer to experience a sensation, such as anxiety and discomfort. This year by working with lights and water, Hayley is able to experiment with larger themes like life and death, artificial and natural, whilst maintaining the provocative atmosphere for the viewer to experience. By manipulating the basics of installation art and materials Hayley creates strangely familiar environments that can trigger emotions and memories, which is the main focus of her work for the degree show.
