ANDREA DAMALA
Fascinated by the human figure, but more specifically the hands and the Abstract Painting, Andrea has focused on a very interesting matter, and illustrates how Abstract Landscape Art and the human figure can be merged as one piece. Andrea paints on different kinds of clothes such as t-shirts, gloves and trousers, which directly involve the body but in a more abstract way. What she is trying to illustrate is the importance of both the human body in art and the abstract painting. Having experimented a lot with gloves, Andrea concentrates more on the art of the glove, and how fascinating is that the painter wears his own painting. Andrea uses latex and fabric gloves when she is painting whilst the accidental brush strokes that touch the gloves produce a unique painting. She uses several mediums such as vitro, acrylic inks, oil and acrylic paints, varnish, found materials and texture gels to produce her work.
