Ana’s current work is a response to the impressions and ideas of a place through drawing. The characteristics of each finished piece derive from the absence of detail that has been filtered out as the drawing took place, as well as the type of drawing that is being produced. This process questions the transcription from eye to hand, understanding what kind of perceptual information is registered into drawing and what is left unspoken for. The outcome is a documentation of the places the artist has been and the conditions that are followed when drawing.
